David is from Maple Ridge, British Columbia and studied at Queen’s University prior to completing his JD at Dalhousie, where he took A2J with Professor Metallic in Fall 2024. David now works at Stikeman Elliott in Toronto.

Alison (Ali) Balcom is from Fredericton, New Brunswick. Ali graduated from the Schulich School of Law in 2025 after earning an MA in Political Science and undergraduate degree from the University of New Brunswick. During law school, she completed an internship with the Honourable Senator Kim Pate and placements at the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and the provincial Department of Justice. She is currently articling at Dentons Canada LLP in Toronto.
