Aleida Whidden was raised in Calgary, Alberta, on Treaty 7 territory: the traditional lands of the Niitsitapi/Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina, and the Îyârhe Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 & 6). Aleida earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and English from Dalhousie University and is working towards a JD from the Schulich School of Law. Aleida is a volunteer with Pro Bono Dalhousie’s Consent Project, on the executive of Dalhousie Law’s Hiking Society, and is working with MDW Law.
